The first Italian-themed restaurant in Yangshuo since 2008, Luna offeres local Yangshuo dishes as well as simple Italian lunch and dinner. Overlooking iconic Moon Hill, Luna has an outdoor terrace on the 4th floor rooftop as well as air conditioned space in side. There is a full bar and space for around 40 diners. Chongqing Sisters
A fixture in Yangshuo for over 15 years, this Sichuan style restaurant offers some of the best quality food at a great price. It isn’t limited to Sichuan Style cooking, but features many Southwestern China specialties. The location is great, just off the busy pedestrian West Street on Guihua Lu, next to an old stone bridge that crosses the canal. There is outside seating, excellent for groups. Ganga Impression
Indian food may seem an odd choice in a Chinese town but you will not be disappointed. This is some of the best authentic Indian cuisine in South China and affordably priced. Sit indoors or on the terrace and watch people go by. The kitchen also features some Western favorites by a German chef. Featuring craft beer from Guilin, as well as local and imported beer and a fulll bar. Foreign residents of Yangshuo love this place. Off Chengzhong Rd on Chengbei Lu.
Yangshuo Mountain Retreat
Since 2001, the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat has been an insider’s escape to the natural beauty of the Yulong River Valley. The restaurant here offers outdoor dining in the riverside garden, as well as a main indoor dining room and a secret dining room for private groups. The retreat features local cuisine with fish and chicken raised on site, as well as dishes from central and Northern China. DEMO
DEMO is a mainstay for music jams, craft beer and excellent homemade pizza. It offers an unbeatable location overlooking the Li River from an outdoor terrace. There is a wide selection of Chinese craft beer in bottles and cans. Super friendly service and late opening hours. Head upriver on Binjiang Lu, in the covered market before Longtou Wharf.
Rock and Grill
Rock and Grill is one of the oldest continuous Yangshuo cafes, now in its third location off a busy side street in Yangshuo town center. Rock and grill specializes in Southeast Asian food, like Thai, Malay and Singapore. It’s not perfectly authentic, but very tasty, generous portions and well presented. They also have decent western food and wine. The main draw here is the jungle-like outdoor seating away from the crowd. They also have indoor with A/C and upstairs for more privacy.
